Place Broken pieces of solid ingredients in separate jars and heat them in a pan of water, simmering until they have melted. Measure the melted ingredients into a heat resistant basin over a pan of simmering water. Measure and stir in the oils, but not the perfumed essential oil. Pour the water (orange water etc.) into a heat resistant container. Add the borax and heat gently until it dissolves. Rmove the basin (melted wax and oils) from the pan and add the borax water. Mix thoroughly . Place the basin in a shallow dish of cold water and continue beating. Add the essential oil and beat until the mixture cools and thickens. Transfer the cream into screw top jars.
